I am a write-brained dreamer who believes that within each person lies a gem. I value family and am blessed to have a loving husband and two creative sons. Being indoors, playing scrabble, reading, and watching the sunset are a few of my favorite things.
If I were a colour, I would be brown – gracing my surroundings with hues of stability, certainty, and firm grounding. If I were a book, you would find me in the romantic classics section of the bookstore or library and if I were a tree, I would be a mango tree, nourishing everyone with succulent fruit, my evergreen leaves providing a comforting shade on a sunny day.
My work experience began as an accountant and has spanned five countries and more than 25 years in a variety of sectors, including accounting, professional education, critical skills training, professional coaching, writing, and editing. I’ve published two books: How to Design Your Career Game Plan and Until the Fat Lady Sings, a fictional novel.
I graduated from Oxford Brookes University with a BSc in applied accounting and an MBA from the University of Wales. I’m also a trained Christian leadership coach (CCLC) and a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF) Kenya Chapter, as well as a licensed practitioner of the Life Orientations (LIFO®) communication and behavior styles assessment.
